Collection: Armadillo Repellents, Deterrents & Removal

1 product

Armadillos are pretty much everywhere in the US. While congregating in the southeast, Armadillos have crept their way north to states like Nebraska and Illinois.

Armadillos are an unusual pest, but a pest nonetheless. Below are some options for Armadillo control.

Armadillo Deterrent

The first step to taking care of an Armadillo problem is to deter them from your home. We recommend Victor Mole/Gopher repellent to keep Armadillos from burrowing.

This armadillo deterrent is:

  • 10% castor oil
  • Safe for gardens and lawns
  • Covers up to 10,000 square feet

Be careful not to apply the repellent over your entire yard - that can send Armadillos on a burrowing spree!

Armadillo Removal

If you need Armadillo removal from your lawn, do not do it yourself. Call a professional. Moving Armadillos is illegal in some states because they’re considered non-native species.

Avoid touching Armadillos at all costs. They are the only species other than humans that carry Hansen’s disease or leprosy. While the risk is low, there is a chance. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Armadillo Pest Control

There are a few less humane options than just using the Victor repellent, but we prefer to keep it as natural as possible. With continued application, the Victor repellent is successful for Armadillo pest control and will deter pests.

If, for whatever reason, the repellent does not work, call a professional to trap them and release them in the wild.
