Kiwi Vine

Kiwi Vine

Originally from China, these kiwi ripen in late summer and are rich in vitamin C. Vigorous, ornamental vines must be supported and can be grown over arbors, fences, or walls. Plant 10 feet apart in full sun in regular, well–drained garden soil. Mostly pest–free. Prune it aggressively each year, pruning is very similar to the pruning and training of muscadine grape vines. It is not uncommon for kiwis to grow 15 ft in one year so heavy pruning is a must or else the vine will quickly grow out of control. Sold by individual bare–root vine. Shipping weight 6 lb/vine. Non–taxable. Trees are 1 year old, and will fruit 2–6 years after you plant them. Kiwi vine roots are very sensitive to nitrogen fertilizer so fertilize lightly. The more fertilizer used, the longer it will take to fruit.

All our bare root trees (except Pecan trees), vegetables and berries come with a limited replacement guarantee.
