Wooden Plant Labels (Package of 24)
Label All Your Seedling Pots
The Wooden Plant Labels (Package of 24) provide a reliable and eco-friendly way to keep gardens, seed trays, and propagation areas well organized. These biodegradable labels are made from untreated New England White Birch, which is longer lasting and smoother to write on than the pine labels sold elsewhere. They are perfect for identifying seeds, seedlings, and other propagation starts in both home gardens and small farms.
The smooth surface allows for neat, legible writing with pencil, pen, or weather-resistant marker, making it easy to track plant varieties, sowing dates, and care instructions. Their natural, untreated wood composition is safe for organic gardening and will not introduce harmful chemicals into your soil. Once the growing season ends, the labels can be composted or worked back into the soil, supporting sustainable and low-waste gardening practices.
Ideal for vegetable beds, greenhouse production, flower gardens, or container plantings, these high-quality birch labels offer durability, clarity, and versatility for growers who value precision and sustainability. For more options, visit our Plant Labels collection.

Always trying to avoid plastic where I can, these are my favorite plant labels for seedlings and transplants...I really appreciate that they are solid wood--some out there are laminated and fall apart quickly. I only wish I could order them in lots of 100!
was looking for an alternative to plastic labels.
wish they were packaged in larger quantities
so far are serving the purpose i bought them for
I was looking for inexpensive and non plastic plant labels for work. I grow vegetables for homeowners and schools and need to label everything, so I go through a lot of labels. I was over the plastic ones, I didn't want the metal ones, so I'm trying out these wooden ones. So far so good. It seems like they warp easily when wet... I'll see how they hold up. I imagine they'll be fine for a season or two. I wouldn't mind if they came in larger quantities, again to cut down on plastic.
Tired of finding brittle old plastic labels everywhere....those things never die. These are handy, cheap and do the job for the season. They get tossed in the compost pile or left to rot where they are.
