Fall-Planted Organic Yukon Gold Seed Potatoes (lb)
Good Keeper & Best Seller
Certified Organic & Non-GMO Seed Potatoes
Yukon Gold is our best-selling variety, prized for its creamy yellow flesh, smooth thin skin, and excellent storage life. First released in Canada in 1981, it quickly became a favorite among gardeners and chefs alike. This early-season potato delivers uniform yields and exceptional flavor, making it ideal for everything from roasting to traditional mashed potatoes.
With its natural golden color, Yukon Gold nearly browns itself in the frying pan, and its beautiful pink eyes at harvest are a unique hallmark of this classic yellow variety.
- 65+ days, early-season
- Excellent keeper
- Great mashed, fried, or roasted
- Certified seed potatoes & certified organic
Note: These potatoes tend to be large. If you order 1 lb, you may receive a single potato.

Yukon Gold potatoes thrive in well-prepared soil with good drainage and consistent moisture. Hill regularly as the plants grow and allow tubers to cure in a cool, dark space after harvest for optimal storage. Their buttery flavor and golden hue make them a standout addition to any kitchen or garden.

Planting & Care
- Fall-planted spuds produce outstanding yields by May. If your area experiences hard winters (USDA Zones 1–7), or you tend to have long, wet spring seasons when rot might be a problem, plant potatoes in the spring.
- One pound of seed potatoes will plant a row approximately 8' long with seed pieces spaced at 8 - 12" apart.
- Plan on 1,200 lb/acre (600 lb of fingerlings) when rows are spaced 36" apart with 12" between plants.
- Under optimal conditions, you can expect to harvest 10–15 pounds of potatoes for every pound of seed potato planted.

We guarantee the perishable items we sell to be in good, viable condition when we sell them. Perishable items include, but are not limited to, garlic bulbs, flower bulbs, seed potatoes, onion sets & transplants, bare-root trees, vegetable crowns, etc. If your perishable item arrives in substandard condition, take photographs and please contact us within 3 days of the purchase date (or delivery date) and we will provide you with a refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping costs), or a replacement. Accordingly, we urge you to open any boxes marked as ""Perishable"" immediately upon receiving them and inspect the shipment thoroughly (do not crack open heads of garlic, we do not accept claims on cracked garlic). Because some perishable items can deteriorate very quickly, we cannot accept any claims beyond the 3-day time frame as it becomes too difficult to determine if these items were delivered in substandard condition, or if they turned into such substandard condition because of having been improperly cared for or stored once delivered.

I ordered these potatoes for a spring plant. They sprouted after delivery and we cut them up, let them dry and planted them. We just picked our first potato today. Small, but it was the first one we dug up to make sure there were potatoes growing. That small potato tasted great. Can't wait for the rest. Will buy again!!!
So far, so good. The winter weather has "sterilized" the ground enough for parasites to also "hibernate". Springtime, Yukon potatoes are what makes a baked one.

I have been growing this potato from Peaceful Valley for a decade. It produces even in the California drought off rainfall only. The potatoes grow as soon as it rains very quickly and all I have to do is go harvest dinner. Any left over potato pieces will grow next year. In good years the potatoes are huge, like the size of softballs, and they taste amazing.
