Excellent choice for summer grass hay. A good alternative to timothy with higher protein. Very fast growth with a high yield and is soft for good palatability. Can get multiple cuttings until the weather cools. It has a wide geographic adaptability and is drought tolerant.

Needs a minimum 62° soil temp to germinate. Teff seed is so small that we offer a coated seed (not Nitro Coated) for easier handling. Plant no more than a ¼” deep at 0.25 lb/1000 sq ft or 8-10 lbs/acre.
