Valentine’s Day with kids
Feb 13, 2013 - Charlotte from Peaceful Valley

  Valentine’s Day with kids
Look what a Peaceful Valley staffer did with a pre-kindergarten class today!

Combine the red of Valentine’s Day with a green growing project for kids!

Instead of pre-made Valentine’s Day cards, let your kid give a gift that grows, on the fun-loving holiday.

Ingredients:

Pea seeds

Sunflower seeds

Peat pots

Potting mix

Wooden plant labels

How to:

Rubber stamp the plant labels with red hearts and write the names of the seeds in red.

Have the kids fill the peat pots with potting mix. They can plant one seed of each kind in a pot.

The kids can add a plant label in every pot and then water them all.

When the last frost date has passed, plant these outdoors in the garden, pot and all.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
