Perennial cover crop. Blend of White Dutch Clover (Trifolium repens), Chewings Fescue (Festuca rubra ssp. falax), Non-Creeping Bentgrass (Agrostis tenuis). White Dutch clover is a selection of white clover growing only 4" tall. It still retains the characteristic white leaf marker and the stoloniferous growth habit of white clover, just in a smaller package. This mix provides a self-sufficient and permanent cover crop sod for trees or groves where year round access and soil coverage are needed. Use in situations where field access or dust reduction is important, or where excessive soil water or fertility is an issue. Expect clover to emerge first, then the bentgrass, followed by the fine fescue. Once established, growth can be maintained at 4-6" by infrequent (1-2 times annually) mowing; without mowing, grasses will reach 1-2'. Best planted in fall; avoid creating drill lines, instead evenly plant entire seedbed. Contains: White Dutch Clover (Trifolium repens), Chewing Fescue (Festuca rubra ssp. falax), Non-Creeping Bentgrass (Agrostis tenuis). Seed at 25-50 lb/acre, deep in a weed free, moist seedbed.
