Brassica napus

Cool season cover crop. Brassica relative breaks up clay soils with its strong tap root and chokes out weeds with its fast dense growth (to 36" in 8-10 weeks). When turned under, it has some nematocidal effect. Plant at a depth of 0.25", in rich, deep soil, at 8 lb/acre or 0.25 lb/1000 sq ft. (No inoculant required)
