Sesbania macrocarpa
Warm season legume cover crop. Vigorous, capable of reaching 6'-8' in less than 90 days. Roots open up the subsoil and it fixes up to 200 lb/acre of Nitrogen. Grows best in high temperatures, low humidity, and moist soils, but once established, it tolerates drought, poor drainage and salinity. Handles heavier and poorer soil than Crotolaria. Sesbania becomes quite fibrous when fully mature, so it should be incorporated prior to full bloom. High hard-seed content, which can cause resprouting (not common). Toxic to horses and possibly other livestock. Plant when soil is thoroughly warmed, 20-25 lb/acre or 1 lb/1000 sq ft. (Raw seed, Sesbania inoculant required)
Unit Ship Weight: 1.05 lbs.
